I had this date circled in red since rather the start of the year, and last weekend it finally came the time to attend an event I wanted to go to from such a long time, the 24 hours of Le Mans. For the 2026 edition I decided to be at the Circuit de la Sarthe just for Sunday's test day, which for me has been a very good way to getting to know tha magical atmosphere of Le Mans with the opportunity to record properly the cars from various spots of the legendary French track
In the past few years I've already been lucky enough to see WEC events in Italy so I already managed to see every car racing in the 24 hours this year, but yet the air you breathe in Le Mans just give something more to the experience, making it way better then seeing the Hypercars in action compared to other circuits like Monza or Imola
Speaking about the track, I found a lot of nice spots to record the cars, from Tetra Rouge to the downhill section after the former Dunlop bridge, where I stayed for the morning session (in which I managed to record the accident between Rio Hirakawa and Jake Hughes). In the afternoon I started my walk from the Virage du Pont, making my way to the start/finish straight recording also from the Virage Ford and the last chicane
The atmosphere was unique, with lot of people despite this being just the test day. Lots of racing shops and food trucks also made the whole event more like a festival then just a normal race weekend event
My intention is quite for sure to come back next year as well, so stay tuned and enjoy the videos!!!
